I’m Angie Quintanilla (keen-tah-knee-yah) Coates, an artist and illustrator born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, based in Port Moody, Canada. I have a passion for vibrant colours and a defiant sense of optimism, drawing inspiration from both my rich Mexican heritage and the natural landscapes of Canada. I’m keenly interested in sustainability, and strive to incorporate eco-friendly practices into my creative process as often as possible.

I believe art is a great unifier. It has the power to connect people, transcend cultural barriers, and convey universal emotions.
