Paulette & Les Wade are proud owners & operators of Beaver Creek Vineyard. It started out for them as a hobby in 2005, making wine and sharing it with friends, until they thought of making it their passion and sharing with the local community by opening their own winery. In 2008 they were granted a license to manufacture and sell wines offsite. In 2010, they found out that the location was a dry county which meant overturning a 1934 prohibition by law to allow them to have a retail store onsite to sell wine from their retail store. Both canvased like a politician around Lawrencetown and won over 90% of the vote.
Now Beaver Creek Vineyard is a fully licensed winery which has grown to a gift shop and cafe, operating full time from May to December. The winery specializes in fruit wines, made from locally grown fruit around the valley. There are over 21 different varieties of fruit wines including Naked Mead, our famous honeymoon wine made from pure honey. It has been quite a few years years since grapes vines were planted and coming soon will be a Beavercreek grape wine available for sale at the winery.
