Diana Watters Handmade – I am an Interior Designer, and avid crafter that has been crocheting and doing embroidery since I was a kid. My mom macrame’d and cross stitched, my Oma got me going with crocheting, and my other grandmother started me on plastic canvas needlework. What can I say…. I was a Seventies kid! I really became passionate about cross stitch a few years ago when my sister handed me a partially completed kit, and asked if I would finish it. Needless to say, I was hooked! While I loved practising with other people’s patterns, I couldn’t always find the modern content I was looking for. Making my own patterns has been great because the sky is the limit in terms of ideas. My ideas come traditional ethnic textiles, graffiti, travelling, nature… you name it!
