Patent 5 Distillery – An accountant, an engineer, an entrepreneur, and a pharmacist have put their diverse talents together to create uniquely Manitoban, award-winning premium spirits from locally-sourced raw materials. We operate out of a 2,600 square foot former livery stable turned craft distillery in the heart of Winnipeg’s historic Exchange District.

Produced in a former livery stable turned craft distillery, we use a 125-gallon copper pot still and 16-plate column still to produce small batch, premium craft spirits with Manitoba’s history and the natural world in mind. Using high quality food-grade, locally-sourced grains — we do everything from mashing through fermentation, to distillation and bottling.

Sustainability and locality are fundamental to our philosophy: we use a 900-gallon water recirculating system to reduce our water waste; and our spent grains are sent to local farms to be used for feed.
