Paul E Shier was born in Toronto, ON and now lives near Tweed, ON Canada and creates most of his art in the beautiful county of Central Frontenac. Most of his sculptures are done by hand carved from soapstone, He believes it brings more life into the art. He is self taught except for public and secondary school art classes.
His art has been shown in many different setting around the world in many homes, art shows and galleries as well as world wide with respect to the internet. He has won many different ribbons and awards over the years with “Best in show” being the most prominent. The greatest award being the expressions on the faces of the people enjoying the particular piece of art, one older woman quite a few years ago has won first place in his mind and will be a treasured memory for ever.
