Sand and Sky Creations – I’ve always had a strong desire to create. Even from a young age, I wanted to make things with my hands. Crochet was the first craft that I really fell in love with and from then on it was just a natural progression to knitting, spinning, dyeing, and creating patterns. I focus on creating a limited number of one-of-a-kind wearables and handspun yarns each year so that you can enjoy something just as special and unique as you are!
My most recent loves are processing raw local wool right from the sheep’s back to finished yarn or knitted goodie. It is so amazing to see the animals that grew your hat and to get to know my local sheep farmers on a more personal basis! I’ve also been enjoying spending more time learning about and experimenting with locally grown, wildcrafted, natural dyes. Work like this nourishes my soul and that’s what life is all about.
