My name is Michayla, of Sunnybee Creations and I am a mixed Indigenous two spirit person raised in Saskatoon. My first love of bees was discovered in my Oma’s garden, where I watched the bumblebees work tirelessly to collect pollen. My next was found when I learned to garden, when I learned just how important pollinators are to agriculture, and how impactful urban agriculture can be on our cities.
I wanted to support Saskatchewan bees and apiaries, and do it in a sustainable, accessible way. Sunnybee Creations came from these ideas, combined with my passion for creativity and design (not to mention a love of collecting fun fabrics!)
