Valérie Pelletier creates work that evokes simplicity and sobriety and the choice of shapes is part of a refined aesthetic. I offer two complementary and timeless collections. One with speckled clay and the other with dark sandstone. All pieces from both collections have a pale blue enamel. This blue brings depth to the rooms and absorbs us with its brilliance and transparency. Thus, I wanted to create an interesting contrast between the natural side of the bare earth and the rather shiny enamel. Paying particular attention to technique, I still want to keep the trace of the human, which recalls the artisanal work done by hand. Finally, I want to reach people by transmitting to them, through my ceramics, the sensitivity and pleasure that work with clay brings to me.
