Hutchinson Pottery – My pottery is influenced by my surroundings – the textures found in my garden, the colour combinations in my kids’ books, the curious shapes I notice during walks we take. My pots are inspired by my love of the natural world and informed by the process of making. One project informs the next in a constant evolution.
I studied ceramics at the Kootenay School of the Arts in Nelson, British Columbia. My work has been presented with awards, grants and published in books and magazines including 500 Tea Pots and East Coast Living. My pots can be found at local shops, artisan fairs and by appointment at my studio in Oyster Bed Bridge, PEI. I take great pride in being a maker of objects that people use and treasure in their day-to day-lives.
