Anneke Forbes – When I was a teenager, my mother gave me a coat she had made when she was in college. The ivory wool was soft with wear. Meticulous bound buttonholes and a hand-embroidered red satin lining relayed my mother’s craftsmanship and care. The beauty of this garment, and the sentimentality attached, inspired me to build this brand.
It is my goal to create a garment with you that carries meaning. That reminds you of that time in your life when you decided to sell your business or embrace your body, that special someone who brought tears to your eyes when they gifted it to you for a milestone birthday, how the brightness of that yellow leather brought sunshine to a dark time, or the precocious and precious 3 year old to whom you hope to pass it down.
No matter the memory we are creating with this garment, I hope the result is something you wear often and forever because of the care I take in making it and the memories you’ve attached.
