b heer – Bayot Heer – was born in the Swiss Alps near the 1300 year old city of Lucerne. After studying furniture making and architectural drafting in Switzerland, Bayot came to Calgary, Canada over 40 years ago. He started a custom furniture business, and ultimately to become a renowned jewellery creator. His new home and studio in Cochrane, AB, is in the foothills of Alberta with a view of the Rocky Mountains, and in the shadow of modern Calgary. These locations provide the artistic inspirations for his contemporary jewellery designs and a personal reminder of his Swiss roots.
