As an artist I am motivated by my love and passion for the outdoors. Using photo references I start with bold, yet intricate line work to solidify the image and proportions of my pieces at Bryony By Design. Adjusting temperature to my wood burning tool allows me to shade seamlessly to add depth, realism and complex detailing.
Finishing my images with Gouache Paint juxtaposes the tone and texture of the wood burnt areas beautifully, enhancing contrast and highlighting the image in a way that brings it to life.
