Carzan Local Meats – Carter and Carmen both grew up with farm life in rural Saskatchewan, and while Carmen moved off the farm, Carter kept raising cattle. Their roots in agriculture and their entrepreneurial spirit have always been close to their hearts.
After high school, Carter dreamed of opening a market showcasing Saskatchewan-made products, especially his home-raised beef. Although finances delayed that dream, he built a small beef sales business in the Regina area. Meanwhile, Carmen faced health challenges that led her to change her diet, opting for locally sourced, clean ingredients. She found her wellness journey aligned with supporting small, rural markets and buying from local producers.
What began as a market has since evolved into Carzan Local Meats, with their Grass Fed Beef Jerky leading the way. Now found across Saskatchewan and expanding into Manitoba and Alberta, their mission is simple: help people eat better with clean, locally sourced meats.
