Dolce Pane – It all started in 1971. Born in the small village of Nicosia in Sicily, Italy, Mr. Valentino Pero lived in Argentina but headed to Canada with the conviction that this decision would allow him to progress and be able to provide for the needs of his small family offering them a better life. Indeed, he was right. In 1973, he opened the doors of his first bakery which he called “Nicosia” in the Montreal-North sector.
The whole family worked hard there, including the 6 children. Dolce Pane is the continuation of this family business since the owner is Mr. Pero’s younger son. Unfortunately, Mr. Valentino Pero passed away in 1998. Customers who knew him always remember him with a smile mentioning his immense generosity and the great man he was. Its presence is constant in the spirit of this company since every day, when a pizza or a piece of bread comes out of the oven, it is one of the ingredients of success.
