Brothers Julian and Jesse Howatt grew up on PEI in a family with many generations of farmers. After their studies at university in urban planning, the brothers developed an interest in sustainable urban agriculture. In 2013 they founded Local by Atta with the goal of strengthening food security in the Greater Moncton Area by providing healthy, pesticide free leafy greens year round.
