Mac’s Pump Pouches – After my grandson was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was 15 months old and got his insulin pump 3 months later. It was difficult to find something to hold his insulin pump, especially when he was so small. My daughter found a pouch which is worn on a belt around his waist and that worked well for him, so I started making them for him. I donated some to our local diabetes clinic and found there was definitely a need for them.
From there I started selling them through word of mouth, on Etsy, Amazon, and Facebook marketplace. I discovered many adults like to use them as well. My customers often have specific needs so I have designed several versions of the pouches including a double pouch to hold the pump and CGM receiver together, a pouch that attaches to a bra and one made with waterproof fabric.
