Martin’s Fine Bakery started in spring 2011 to sell our baked goods at Farmers Markets in Mabou, Baddeck, Port Hawkesbury and Antigonish. Being a Pastry Chef myself and with the help of my wife Gabriele, I can offer you a great variety of baked goods made from scratch. We use organic flour only, with natural ingredients. Our goal is to use local products as much as possible maintaining a high quality standard.

I learned my profession in the early 70’s at Café Schapmann in Stuttgart. The famous café was located at the well-known Koenigstrasse and highly frequented. After three years of apprenticeship I finished my education with an examination as a licensed Pastry Chef. I worked at Mercedes-Benz AG at their very own bakery in Sindelfingen for ten years. After this, my career followed a different path. My passion for my profession and a fresh start as a Pastry Chef, reached out to me when I came to Cape Breton.
