Microbrasserie Hopfenstark – It was in 2007 that we put our first beers in oak barrels. We were the first brewery in Quebec to offer aged beers. Framboise Forte is, to our knowledge, the first beer matured in oak barrels in Canada. In the years that followed, the brewery expanded its selection of aged beers and continued its experimentation with maturing beers in oak barrels. In 2021, for our 15th anniversary, we launched our Ho.st in the shell series, our oak barrel aging program, on the Quebec market. Faust Triple, aged 9 years in bourbon barrels, and Maia, aged 9 years in white wine barrels, are among the beers aged the longest in oak barrels in the world. We also have several beers that are even older and are waiting for their moment.
