At Northumberland Soapworks our soaps are handmade in small batches in our farmhouse studio from a blend of olive, coconut, sustainable palm and castor oils, as well as moisturizing ingredients like shea butter, cocoa butter and oatmeal. Since 1999 we have used the old fashioned method of soapmaking, called the cold process method, which retains all of the naturally occurring glycerin in every bar of soap.
This glycerin holds moisture so our bars leave your skin fresh and clean without stripping it of its natural oils. After cutting the soap, it is cured for a minimum of four weeks to create a mild, long lasting bar.
