Pie in the Sky Farm – In 2011, my family started this idea of running a little farm. This farm was meant to be a hobby, nothing more. While I completed elementary school we continued to build up our hobby farm. In high school we started going to farmer’s markets and building our bakery. When I finished high school, I wasn’t sure if farming was in my future. With the encouragement of my dad I decided to go to New Zealand to work on an apple orchard.
While in New Zealand I learned so much about horticulture I decided to go back to Canada and pursue farming. My first year back I went to Mohawk collage for Business and graduated with honours. Since then we have grown so much, my mum is third generation pastry chef who now runs our bakery. My wife is our store manager and my dad makes sure we all stay within our means and budgets are met.
