Karen from Something from Nothing Mittens has been making warm and cozy hand warmers since 2009. She and her assistant hand make each and every unique pair, recycling from thrifted wool sweaters, purchased in not-for-profit thrift stores and are fully lined with new cotton flannel. A variety of 6 different sizes are available all the way from itty bitty baby mittens-on-a-string to toddler sized to 4 different sizes for children and adults. Because these thoughtfully designed mittens are using recycled fabric, you may occasionally notice a flaw in the fabric itself however this just adds to the unique charm of each pair and does not affect function. Wearing these warm mittens all winter, you can be confident you are helping to prolong the life of a garment just a little longer.

Every pair of our mittens is fully lined with 100% new cotton flannel making them warm and cozy with the benefits of the two natural fibres of wool and cotton without the itchiness of wool touching your hand. Not every pair of mittens has an embellishment on them, but when we feel it needs a little something extra, we use vintage, ceramic buttons (circa 1970’s).
