Our mission at THE CROWN THAT BARKS is a simple one: to craft premium-quality, organic human-grade pet nutrition in small batches with care and lots of love, while using only the finest locally sourced ingredients and sustainable practices. We believe our pets are family members and should get the best nutrition we can offer them, which is the highest quality pet food cooked only with ingredients good enough for humans.
Inspired by a shared love for our four-legged friends, THE CROWN THAT BARKS was born out of a deep desire to revolutionize pet nutrition in Canada. It all began when Danny, our talented chef, returned to Toronto after many years of owning and managing his restaurant in the enchanting South of France. Over a gentle dog walk with his vegan/animal-lover friend Carole from Ireland, they brainstormed and Danny shared his desire to bring his culinary expertise and love of animals to Toronto’s pet owners. He took a nutrition and plant based food for pets courses online via a UK based company in order to complete his knowledge and techniques to create the ultimate healthy meals for pets.
