The True Gear and Spline history started back in 1966 when Vinko Bizjak, the founder of the company, settled in Canada. Despite being a skilled tool and die maker, he initially took a job as a gear cutter in Cambridge. In 1974 his entrepreneurial spirit led to the founding of True Gear & Spline in a modest shop in Cambridge Ontario. A keen interest in technology fueled Vinko’s desire to find better ways to improve the quality of his products.
Over the next 50 years, the company steadily expanded, eventually growing into a modern, technologically-equipped 22,000-square-foot gear manufacturing facility. For our 50 years of existence, quality, precision, and customer service have been the core values that have shaped our business and continue to do so today.
