A Toronto native born in 1952, Joseph Yanuziello of Yanuziello Stringed Instruments has spent most of his life living and working in the culturally diverse neigbourhoods of Toronto’s west end. At an early age, inspired by his father’s fearless I can build that attitude, Yanuziello embarked on a lifetime of building and tinkering, focusing on exotic and domestic wood as his material of choice.
After graduating from art college in 1975, he built his first guitar in 1979 while working in a custom design/build cabinet shop. That soon led to self employment, building and designing furniture and cabinets for a long list of commercial and residential clients, as well as building custom guitars for a growing list of musicians.
