At Zero K Bats, we produce our bats in the spring to honor the orders received during pre-production period. We also build up a stock to meet the demand of the summer months. We use only premier billets to turn our bats from.
For our bats, we use for the highest quality wood available on the market. Only premium A-Grade billets are used. They are selected for straightness and linearity of their grains to maximize hardness and strength of the bat. The highest grade, the best for you. Once the bat is turned, a drop of ink is dropped on the tangential face of the handle to reveal the grain direction. Bats with a deviation of more than 3 degrees are discarded. The angle of the grain in a wood baseball bat cannot exceed a deviation of 1-inch for every 20 inches of length.
Our bats are protected with an industrial finish that contains a high coefficient of friction to give maximum grip on the handle. At impact, it increases the backspin of the ball which allows the ball to travel straighter with less air resistance, resulting in more distance.
