| Michael McQuaid Woodworks is a cabinet/furniture maker located in Emyvale, Prince Edward Island. | Derevo Designs is a small woodworking shop located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, right in the heart of the Canadian prairies. My name is Sean, and my wife Lindsay and I run Derevo Designs. I got my introduction to woodworking in high school shop class like many people did. We didn’t build anything overly memorable, but it laid a good foundation for me to build from later in life. When you purchase a product from us, you are buying the end result of a story written by passion. I hand pick many of the logs and burls we use directly from the sawyers who cut them from the forest. Some of our burl comes from as far as Australia, and takes 3 months by ocean to arrive in Canada. Each piece for sale on our site, whether a crib board, cutting board, or even a playing card holder is made and designed by us. Each sale we make goes right back to the business and helps us grow and evolve. We become better every year, and it wouldn’t be possible without the support of those who like our products enough to own one. | Nomadic Designs began in the summer of 2016, in Ontario, Canada. Mike Liambas, our head honcho and professional hockey player of 11 years, was back in Toronto for the summer and staying with his parents. While visiting one morning, his mother showed him a photo of a mirror she was hoping to buy. He took one look at it and said he would love to make it for her instead. That project was when his interest in woodworking took off. Over the next few off-seasons, Mike explored other woodworking projects, diving into making live edge furniture for friends and family. He realized he was becoming pretty good at this and he really enjoyed it. His passion for woodworking continued to burn, much like the fire that burns in him for hockey. | The making of these bowls, each of which is unique, is a long process. It starts with a hardwood log which Wilfred splits vertically then cuts into the approximate shapes. He turns the bowl a first time on the lathe while still green. Then it is left to dry for approximately six months. Once the drying process is complete, he proceeds with the final shaping of the bowl on the lathe. The product is then finished with oils or sprays. After that, it is placed in his attractive showroom at the front of the shop which is located in North Bedeque, Prince Edward Island. Products:

| I hand make everything in my home shop. At The Green Woodworker I take the time to ensure every product that leaves my shop is of the highest quality. I want my products to last generations. Since the beginning of my journey, I have always taken the time to explore my options when selecting my methods of practice. Eco-friendly or “green” techniques have been and always will be the goal of my work. I have worked out deals with local arborists to recycle the trees they cut down into useable lumber that we then turn into our creations. Thousands of tree every year are thrown away at the landfills. This costs the city massive amounts of money as well as wastes perfectly good materials for our projects. I mill and dry all my own lumber. Even my drying kilns run on solar energy. All of my wood finishes are 100% food safe as well as bio degradable.
