Husted is a small ceramic studio in Calgary, aiming to make timelessly beautiful, useful, and long-lived objects. All pieces are thoughtfully formed and finished by me, Kate Husted in her Inglewood studio, using traditional tools and methods. I began wheel-throwing in 2009 while in university, needing a counterbalance to books. Coming from a long line of craftspeople, my love of clay is rooted in a natural affinity for materials and precision work.
Visitors to the studio are very welcome by appointment. Please send a quick note so a time can be arranged. If you’d like to take group or private lessons , they can be booked directly through Workshop Studios, where I teach wheel-throwing to all levels.
