Vermeulen Farms Limited is a thriving 450-acre fresh fruit and vegetable farm in Canning, Nova Scotia. We have been growing fresh produce since 1986 specializing in salad vegetables, asparagus, melons and strawberries. We are always experimenting with new crops to continue to meet consumers changing needs.
We take pride in what we do and live our mission everyday: to provide Atlantic Canadian customers with healthy, top quality, hand-harvested fruits and vegetables through efficient and sustainable use of labour, equipment and land. We’re a three generation farm family and we’re looking forward to growing quality fresh produce for generations to come. Our produce mix has grown over the past 25 years to include asparagus, cantaloupe, celery, cucumbers and pickling cucumbers, lettuces, peppers, squashes, strawberries, and zucchinis. We have a seasonal team of over 70 farmers that help us produce superior quality fruits and vegetables.
