The year 2016 seemed like a turning point for Canadian products, as the nation felt under pressure from our neighbor to the south. This feeling spurred a movement across the country to "buy local" and spend more of our dollars purchasing products made in Canada. Then Covid-19 arrived in early 2020 and this initiative was taken even more seriously as we worked to support our local economy.

The pandemic forced people to stay at home and encouraged us to become even more passionate about buying at home. We as consumers quickly became aware of the importance of shopping locally, thus contributing to the success of Canadian-made items.
